2. Describe your show Twitter style, 140 characters or less.
Charles Darwin takes us joyfully through his life and theories, sometimes picking up a guitar and illuminating us through the medium of song.
3. A quote/moment that stands out from your show?
Getting audience members to simulate mating always makes for hilarity, and their various ways of doing so never ceases to amaze and amuse me.
4. Is heckling allowed?
Interaction is encouraged. Is that the same as heckling? There has been more heckling so far in Adelaide than the show has had in the past, and I do enjoy it if it’s well-timed.
5. What is your role in the show?
I am Charles Darwin, and he in turn impersonates the various other characters in his life. I have upward of twenty parts in the show, but they’re all done through Darwin’s eyes.
6. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I hope I never do. If I do, I hope I’m still doing what I’m doing today.
7. If you could put on (or be in) any show/band in the world, which one would it be?
I’m gutted I missed the audition for The Beatles by a few years.
8. Biggest accolade/compliment you’ve received about your show?
It’s got many many star ratings next to it, but nothing compares to members of the public telling me how much they’ve laughed and how much they’ve learnt.
9. Why would someone not come to see your show?
Creationists usually steer pretty well clear. But they’re the ones who really need to come.
10. Besides your show, what’s your pick for the Fringe?
Best two shows I’ve seen so far are Fleeto and The Terrible Infants.
