1. What, where, when and how much?
Chants Des Catacombes
@ The Old Adelaide Gaol (view map)
…but you’re too late for this year.
We hope to return in 2013.
2. Describe your show Twitter style, 140 characters or less.
Immersive, promenade, site-specific, music based theatre, that may surprise or inspire you… it’s a little bit like walking through a dream.
3. A quote/moment that stands out from your show?
Anna Boulic, Laura Burzacott, Zoe McDonald, Nate Gilkes and the Twoks performing a rousing rendition of Glorybox by Portishead, as it snows in the gaol.
4. Is heckling allowed?
Probably. But our women bite.
5. What is your role in the show?
Director. Front of House Master. Publicist. Dramaturg. Occasional Shit Stirrer.
6. What do you want to be when you grow up?
We have a vision to cultivate a new generation of artists and audiences, by producing extraordinary work in unusual locations. So when we’ve grown up, we want to be doing that, all the time.
7. If you could put on (or be in) any show/band in the world, which one would it be?
I’d be backing vocalist for Lupe Fiasco.
8. Biggest accolade/compliment you’ve received about your show?
Bill, an Adelaide Senior Citizen and avid lawn bowler said it was really f#cking good.
9. Why would someone not come to see your show?
Chants is a challenging theatrical environment. We purposely don’t focus on a narrative, yet elements of a narrative sometimes evolve in the performance. This can frustrate some people who aren’t willing to be within the work
10. Besides your show, what’s your pick for the Fringe?
The Twoks @ The Idolize Spiegeltent on the 5th of March and The Year of Magical Wanking @ Adelaide College of the Arts – XSpace.
