Urban roots, high energy, political lyrical delivery’s meet a dancehall, roots, rock & afro groove mash-up.
2. First album you purchased?
Miles Davis – ‘In a Silent Way‘ is the first notable record purchase i can recall… Was a life changer.
3. First gig you went to?
Too many to recall… My dad was a muso and took me to his gigs all the time from an early age… I also remember seeing Fugazi at an underage hall in sydney as a young teenager… Sepultura at the Hordern also stands out, around the same time…
4. Favourite song?
Get Up Stand up, Bob Marley.
5. A compelling reason to come see your gig?
If you want to see political asylum seekers from West Papua, dancing with a diverse cultural mash up of amazing musicians from Australia, lead and driven by a no holds barred female dread with native american, mexican & samoan roots, come on down…
6. Your best track?
Hmm, It’s a new one we’ve just written and are in the process of recording.
7. Your single biggest musical influence?
Miles Davis
8. If you weren’t a musician, what would you be?
Film Maker.
9. If you could collaborate with any artist in the world, who would it be?
Not sure, but i reckon if you set your sights high, with the right intent, the right things happen.
