Heckler can safely say that we were out-heckled by the people in this audience – the kids! They just loved Dr. Brown.
And this man is a genius.
He has tapped into everything that kids find funny.
Missing his mouth while eating? Check!
Holding the golf club the wrong way? Check!
Nutella sandwich ends up in his hair? Check!
Dr* Brown is an odd fellow, who comes from the land of Reject-shop bag. He sports a rather different look- think mad-professor turned children’s performer. His accomplice, Singing Tiger, narrates through song (and Ukulele) the silly adventures of Dr. Brown’s day with the audience. Everything is covered from bike riding, a spot of tennis and a messy breakfast! Your children will inevitably learn bad habits from Dr. Brown, but at least they’ll be good fun. The show is entertaining for children and parents alike and it was obvious that the kids in the audience adored the show. (Apart from one little girl who was sitting next to Heckler, although we aren’t sure who she was more scared of…)
The venue is good for sound but if you don’t want to have your children standing awkwardly on your knees the whole time, Heckler recommends getting there early and grabbing a spot towards the front. Definitely worth a see while Dr. Brown is in Adelaide, this is a kid’s show for children aged 2-10. Or adults. You might get rebellious-tweenager looks from anyone in between.
*Is he a real doctor? “Can you prove it, Doctor Brown?”
