Morgan and West are time travellers. But they’re not just your ordinary run-of-the-mill temporal passengers, no ma’am, they are also spiffing magicians.
They speak with Victorian flair, look like they belong to the last century and their tricks range from ‘Oh I think I know how they did that…” to “What the…”.
Magic shows are generally quite exciting, but with most of them, the magician shows off some ridiculously improbable feats. But for Morgan and West, the show is as much about language and style, as it is about the sleight of hand. Although, at times, their sleight of hand wasn’t as subtle as it should’ve been.
Two of the most charming gentlemen to have graced the garden this year, they move from one trick to another with utmost fluency as though telling a story.
My favourite trick was the “Hope and Fear” act, where they delve into the audience’s thoughts.
Heckler recommends this is a show you should take a group of friends to and don’t try too hard to work out the tricks, it will ruin the fun.
Pro-tip: Volunteer to be one of the people they call up on stage to make sure there are no stooges involved!
