One man tries to recreate an entire human life in an hour using computers, microwaves and a cuddly panda.

2. Since you’re a comedian, is there a lot of pressure to be funny on a first date?
Thankfully I haven’t been on a first date in 11 years and back then I wasn’t a comedian. I definitely feel pressure when a plumber comes round and they know what I do. I tend to hide.
3. Speaking of, what’s your ideal date activity?
Hot-air-ballooning. Either that or a game of squash.
4. A movie that made you cry?
Man on the Moon – my favourite movie ever (although I should also mention that I’ve never seen a film that I haven’t liked).
5. What do you do when you get sad?
My tax return. I like handing it in sodden with tears.
6. When and/or why did you decide to become a comedian?
I don’t think I’ve yet made that decision. It just sort of happened. If there was a moment it was when the editor of the local newspaper at which I was working asked me to do a story about a dead horse and I filled the article with jokes and got fired so told those jokes on stage instead.
7. Favourite comedian?
Tommy Cooper and Tim Key (never in the same room at the same time, by the way).
8. What do you want to be when you grow up?
An army (that was my stock answer aged 3 and I’m sticking with it)
9. Funniest YouTube clip you’ve seen?
Sorry to be straight but Between Two Ferns by Zach Galinifakis is a masterpiece.
10. Which artist/comedian are you looking forward to seeing at the Festival?
Ryan Coffey. I actually saw him at a pre-festival event last night and he did a thing where he hit his neck and it made a nice noise and I want to persuade him to do that with me at the Horne Section.
