Key’s back in Melbourne after taking two years off to do some admin and bulk up. Still doing his poems. Staying at the Medina. Double Bed. This show’s just as poetical as the last one but with better sound effects and more mastery.

1. Describe your show Twitter style, 140 characters or less!
An amphibious fusion of poetry, talking and bubble bath.
2. Since you’re a comedian, is there a lot of pressure to be funny on a first date?
Tons. The best thing to do is keep it a secret. Tell the poor thing you’re a tree surgeon or an athlete. That way any glimmer of amusement you squeeze out will be seen as a bonus.
3. Speaking of, what’s your ideal date activity?
Cooking and feeding her stuff.
4. A movie that made you cry?
I cry in most movies. The Artist made me cry. Etre Et Avoir – a French documentary film about a primary school teacher. Floods.
5. What do you do when you get sad?
Eat or run till it goes away.
6. When and/or why did you decide to become a comedian?
2000. Graduated and realised I had nothing else to offer.
7. Favourite comedian?
Alex Horne. Gap-toothed and innovative.
8. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’d like to be sat in a cottage writing films and then go to the big city to film them.
9. Funniest YouTube clip you’ve seen?
I can’t really think of a blinder so I’d like to nominate this one on a technicality. It’s Charlie Chaplin. But it’s not him being funny – it’s him getting huge in The Great Dictator. Stirring stuff.

10. Which artist/comedian are you looking forward to seeing at the Festival?
I’m looking forward to seeing Mark Watson’s new show. Also Simon Amstel and Claudia O’Doherty.
