STEPHEN K Amos has a brilliant reputation as a consistently hilarious stand-up comic. He’s the bitchy, fabulous man we all wish we had as a best mate – a rare combination of cultured, low-brow, ridiculous and the terribly sublime. The premise of Laughter is My Agenda is testing jokes checklist style to see if they fly with an audience. He pushes the envelope as always with gags concerning race, culture and sex, suitably book ended with poo jokes. Amos also has the knack of making everyone laugh at their own ridiculousness.
Laughter is My Agenda is most definitely worth the extra dollars you’ll pay to see a draw card act at this years comedy festival. Amos does more than deliver with an engaging show that never wavers in energy and keeps the laughs coming soda stream style.
