Damian Callinan takes you on a journey to his awkward and funny childhood and adolescence as a modern day Robinson Crusoe.
The show anchors around the time he spent a whole day abandoned in his family garage. His 1970’s suburban moments are re-lived with imaginative sketches of his neighbours, family and school days with some kinesthetically hilarious dance moves thrown in.
His humor thrives on his quick wit and offside jokes, with a few surprises for the attentive. The former teacher invites pity and laughter, taking the audience for an at times interactive and fun ride.
All in all, good use of props, delivery of jokes and momentum means that you are not left on a ‘leaky boat’.
