Review – 4 Decades of Dance with Driller
If you want a solid night of booty-shaking, at the bargain basement price of $13 a ticket, you can’t go past 4 Decades of Dance.
Equipped with an impressive stack of records, DJ Driller shares with you some of the greatest dance hits of decades gone by. The set was filled with crowd-pleasers including Womack and Womack’s Footsteps and much to my delight Armand Van Helden’s You Don’t Know Me.
The crowd embraced these tunes by forming a Jam Circle and showing off their best breaking moves. While not part of the show, it is worth mentioning that someone perfectly executed ‘the worm’.
Unfortunately, while the tunes remained upbeat, they became a bit more abstract towards the end, prompting a mass exit. Nothing to really complain about, it was about 1am after all.
Overall 4 Decades of Dance was a sweaty hot mess of fun that all seemed to enjoy.
