Review – Abandoman

Let’s just start by saying that I loved this show so much! I want to see it again tomorrow night and the night after and the one after that! And if this was realistic given my schedule, I’m positive it would be a completely different show every night and that I would enjoy it just as much as I did on the first night!

Abandoman is an entirely improvised show, powered by the audience, their stories and the objects in their pockets and handbags.

Rob Broderick is a rhyming genius. I found myself impressed and laughing hysterically in equal measure at his ability to make a rhyme with such speed and ease.

You need to think Eminem in 8 Mile, switch him with an energetic Irish comedian, throw in stories which might include shooting Giraffes, eating turquoise and hanging out at Hobo Jobo’s  (and if you’re lucky, a guest appearance by his biggest fan Charlie) and you’ve got one awesome hour of comedy and music!
