Review – Champaigne Cabaret

The concept is a good one and I can imagine these 3 young women sitting around their living room excitedly plotting their Fringe show. “These 3 girls would sing songs relating to champagne (think renditions of ‘Champagne Supernova’ by Oasis), the audience would taste nice, free champagne and listen to them sing and everyone would be happy.”

How sweet. Unfortunately, the concept was flawed. There was something missing but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Their voices were sweet, they played their instruments well and the song choices were good plus the added bonus of free champagne was a great incentive but it lacked… sex appeal! I wanted more from them, to be wowed, for it to be more than background entertainment at a dinner party. As I said, the concept is a good one, it just needs some oomph!
