Womad – Volatinsky Trio

A melodic sample of Eastern Europe was offered up by Australian folk act the Volatinsky Trio.

Made up of 2 musicians trained on folk instruments in Minsk (Lucy) & Kiev (Stephen), plus an improvisational cellist from Odessa (Anatoli), the music was most appropriate for a tranquil sunday afternoon nestled in the forest-shrouded Speakers Corner Stage 6.

Nice little anecdotes to punctuate the music, too.
