If you ever wanted to know what the female equivalent to a sausage fest was, then this is the show for you. Funny, entertaining and energetic, even if a bit rough around the edges but that just adds to the charm.
Set in the side room at The Maid and Magpie (where importantly the world is air-conditioned with short drink lines and easy to get a car park) this young and energetic duo, Bridget Fahey and Justin Stone take you through their brand of guitar, drum and ukulele driven comical ditties.
With songs about topics ranging from where your boyfriend should and shouldn’t go to the ever fantastic Bill Murray, these kids get you giggling. Not only that, they will get you singing too. Be sure to have a drink to chime in with their drinking song, and make sure you have your reading glasses, as Bridget may need you to help her study.
The show also featured some music from their local band “The Folko-oh-noes”. With solid vocals and catchy beats, this group is one to watch for those into music with a Roots/Punk vibe.
All in all, Bridget is a confident performer, bright and fervent, she genuinely wants the audience to have fun. Justin seems like a gorgeously sweet doofus, in the nicest possible way. You’ll need to be super quick to catch their remaining shows, I’m looking forward to seeing what these guys come up with next.
