Language warning: Alex Williamson is not for all markets. And his friends are f^*#ing c*&ts. Prepare for bad behaviour from a comedian whose biggest fans are snapped-back, flat-brimmed, tat-packed and fleshie-fied. With over 25 million views and 160,000 YouTube subscribers, South Australia’s Alex Williamson is “changing the world, one c*&$ at a time”.
If you want to get an idea of the style of Williamson’s comedy, check-out ‘Loosest Aussie Bloke Ever’ on YouTube; his stand up is more of that, peppered with tales of his drug-fuelled antics in LA, songs about being raped by Mario Kart characters, group texting sluts at 4am and drug-dealing to minors, as well as some new videos about smoking crack, being part of a suicide cult, and translating Shakespeare into modern-day ‘Strayin, to name a few.
I will reluctantly admit that he is funny. Reluctantly because his comedy uses shock-tactics rather than brain-power to get laughs, but he’s probably so loose he doesn’t give a f%@#. He clearly loves sharing his misadventures with his masses of 18-25 year old male fans, and that mischievousness is contagious, even to those of us outside his very specific target audience. Get ready to be offended.
