Social Needia is definitely not a show for people who don’t use social media. Don’t bother. For those who Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest etc… This show is aimed squarely at you.
The show is in a VERY tiny room, make sure you get in first as the best seats are in the middle, everyone else has to sit uncomfortably around the edges of the room. A good buzz was in the crowd with our show and it got rolling with an audio-visual presentation with some interesting (and alarming) facts and figures about social media uses around the world today.
Jordana then enters the room and has a rant and a rave with the audience about her addictions to social media. This is quite fun and the audience are encouraged to join in. It was very similar to the sort of awkward chat you have with people you’ve just met at a party and you’re on the table where no one knows each other. Pleasant and fun but also hard work.
There were some chortles along the way and some “oh yes I can relate to that” moments but if you’re looking for side-splitting laughter this is not the place to find it. Although the pace was never slow, you can’t help get the feeling that a one-hour show could be condensed into half an hour.
Over all, worth a thought if you’re really into your social media. Look for something else if you’re not.
