Your tour guides David and Peter Battalion inculcate you in a hands-on mockumentary of this great city through the back alleys and lane ways of China town and beyond.

Forget everything you learnt before about Melbourne. Welcome instead a motley parade of Hollywood stars, misplaced historical figures and other surprise cameos as they re-educate you on Melbourne’s origin story. We learn of the terrifying marsupials that used to bedevil unfortunate sailors in dark corners of the city. We are shocked by the absurd injustice of the Melbourne witch trials of 1886 in a church car park. I’ll leave it to your imagination how John Batman may feature in this reimagining. This is history as you’ve never read it.

The larger than life Ged and Jamie are breathing incarnations of The Goodies, at home on this expansive urban stage and ensuring there’s a pun around every corner. Don’t be distracted by Melbourne’s lights and commotion because you’ll miss quality dialogue from this amusing twosome. The comedy is enhanced as you ‘see the strings’ of this pantomime; as the actors leg it past you from one scene to the next. This performance is a hearty soup of slapstick, satire, sketch and improvisation, all on the move. You’ll not regret venturing out of the Town Hall for this historic adventure.
