Review – Some Plays
Venue: City Nightclub
Paul Richards is a gangly awkward guy who has three stories to share – about his life, as a gangly awkward guy.
Sweet, grounded and self deprecating, this show is for all those who, even out of their twenties, are a little shy and unsure of themselves.
Paul Richards will make you laugh in that awww kind of way. You will hear of his misfortunes with the girl at the supermarket, his deep sense of loss from misplacing his wallet, and his battle with an apartment full of ants. Paul delivers his stories with a genuine honesty that is immediately endearing.
I left kind of wanting to give this guy a hug, telling him that everything will be OK. However I have the sneaking suspicion that Paul has graduated from gangly awkward guy to gangly slightly-more-confident guy.
Hopefully he will make it to the Adelaide Fringe in 2014.

[…] Paul is back from a very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, where all three of his shows were well received. Here’s a review of ‘Some Plays By Paul Richards’ courtesy of Australian website, Heckler: https://archive.heckler.com.au/2013/08/11/review-some-plays/ […]
