10 Quick Qs – HolePunch
1. Describe your show Twitter-style, 140 character or less!
More hammed-up circus tricks & cheesy puns than your average lunchroom toastie. #tgif #qanda #HijackAHashtag
2. What is the biggest accolade you’ve received from one of your shows?
Accolades? Who needs accolades when you’ve got a photocopier made of papier mâché? We could just make an accolade out of papier mâché!
3. Which film did you re-watch too many times as a child?
Drop Dead Fred, Disney movies and Pretty Woman. Age appropriate, y’know.
4. What was the most challenging aspect about preparing your show?
Trying not to be seduced my Caitlin whenever she changes into the ‘Nigel’ costume!
5. Which instrument have you never got round to learning?
The Xylophone. Man, I want to be so good at it but I just get distracted by the colours.
6. Who’s your greatest theatrical, cabaret or circus idol?
A tie between Meow Meow, Frank Woodley and Tim Minchin.
7. Is heckling allowed?
Clever heckles are absolutely encouraged. HolePunch was originally designed to allow for the unexpected.
8. What’s your favourite Internet-related guilty indulgence?
Googling facts about obscure Dinosaurs, and then posting them in fights I see on Facebook.
9. If HolePunch were a cocktail, how would you make it?
By not following the recipe. Then garnishing with glitter!
10. What other Fringe show are you most excited to catch up with?
Everyone. Come at me, creatives. Let me be the awkward dickhead clown who crashes through your cultured conversations. Would love to catch up with some of our friends at Amy Michaels & the Good Time Girls, Twisted Lollipop and Bertie Page’s Serpentine.
HolePunch opens from the 7th March at Tandanya.
