10 Quick Qs – Shotspeare
1. What, where, when and how much?
Shotspeare presents Romeo & Juliet! In the Garden of Unearthly Delights, in the Umbrella Revolution (the red tent!). Tickets for Tues-Weds-Thurs-Sun are $27, Fri-Sat are $32
2. Describe your show Twitter style, 140 characters or less:
Shotspeare is 5 sword-wielding actors, one drunken audience member, a ridiculous amount of booze, and an entire work of Shakespeare all in an hour!
3. A quote/moment that stands out from your show?
“Shotspeare!!!!!!” When an audience member who has possession of a ‘Shotspeare Card’ holds it up and yells “Shotspeare” all the actors on stage are required to take a shot of vodka.
4. Is heckling allowed?
When drinking is happening on stage and in the audience, it’s bound to happen! We do prefer the heckling to be done in Elizabethan if possible. If we flub a line or miss an entrance, often the audience will demand we “drink!”
5. What is your role in the show?
I’m the Juliet in ‘Romeo & Juliet’. I’m also the only female in this production. Well, the only real female that is, though I don’t have the largest tits. Our nurse’s are much larger though mine are more symmetrical.
6. What do you want to be when you grow up?
An Australian winemaker. Or an Astronaut.
7. If you could put on (or be in) any show/band in the world, which one would it be?
I’d perform on stage with The Mighty Boosh. Everyone else in the cast thinks I’m crazy for making that my answer, but it’s true. I love them.
8. Why would someone not come see your show?
If they’re stuck in an elevator with three clowns and can’t get out. Or if they don’t like “drinking, hedonism, gender-bending, sexual innuendos, and spanking”” or don’t enjoy innovative, fast-paced, and hilarious theater.

9. In your opinion, what is the worst show/movie you’ve ever seen and why?
The best (sic) show I’ve ever seen is Les Miserables. Shut up, I know it’s mainstream and over done but it makes me cry my eyes out every time. The music is haunting and beautiful, the story is powerful and timeless, and I’m a total nerd for history which it is full of.
10. Besides your show, what’s your pick for the Fringe/Garden?
Oh that’s a hard one, there are so many awesome shows!! If I have to pick one, I’d have to say Sam Simmons. He’s hilarious. But there are 5 of us in our show so maybe we can have 5 picks? So my pick is Sam Simmons, The Friar’s pick is Limbo, Lord Cauplet’s pick is Philip Escoffey, The Nurse’s pick is Lords of Strut, and Romeo’s pick is Puddle’s Pity Party.
