Review – Flavia Coelho (Brazil)

Flavia Coelho is completely loco. Her afro flopping to the bossa nova-cum-samba-cum-ragamuffin beat, the intensity of the whites of her eyes only matched by the blinding ivory of her toothy smile, the Brazilian threw everything she had at her Adelaide admirers.  Switching genres and instruments at will – her first assault on the drums was a thrashing to behold – Flavia seemed to be having more fun than the rest of us, which is saying something.
