Father-son team Toumani and Sidiki Diabate are the latest in an extraordinary 71-generation line of kora players in their family. The sounds they have learned to make from this Malinese Kora, which plays like a harp but warmer, are testament to the millennium of experimentation the Diabate family have pursued with it.
