TOWNSVILLE based duo The Underlads are not your standard stand-up comedians. Living on Limbo Lane is a unique performance with singing, dancing, puppetry and a fight to the death.
Similar to the majority of stand-up comedians at the Festival, there are a few good one-liners, however, it is the multimedia element that makes this show unique.
A combination of short clips, music, special effects and on-the-spot-filming binds the story together. Spurting blood in the form of silly string, Star Wars swords and amazingly detailed look alike-puppets add an additional element of wackiness.
To fully appreciate the quirkiness of the two friends, the show is best viewed with no knowledge of the plot. There are a few ‘what the?’ moments but it eventually ties together. Living on Limbo Lane is a talented entertaining show with great dynamics.
