What if you were dead… What if you had a short window of time to talk to the living? What would you say? What would you share?
Lydia Nicholson took this morbid premise and turned it in to an engaging, insightful and slightly heartbreaking tale of a regular girl taken from the land of the living in the prime of her youth.
While I can’t compliment the writing enough, much needs to be said about the performance. I experienced the full array of human emotion through Lydia. I guess I have to declare that as an Adelaide girl, this spoke to me as I have first hand experience with much of what this show was about. Sadly for me, I believe Nicholson is both younger and wiser.
Overall, a stunning performance with brilliant material. Worth facing the squishy humid surrounds of “the runt”. Fringe organisers, in the future, give this young woman a space worthy of her talent please.
