10 Quick Qs – Miles and Simone.

Simone Page Jones is an opera singer, cabaret star and creator of the critically acclaimed cabaret The Lovebirds. Together with Miles O’Neil she is performing as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2013.

1. Describe your show Twitter-style, 140 character or less!

Country folk meets Hollywood glamour meets Owl and the Pussy Cat meets old friends having a frolic in a field of tall grass that moves like the ocean with the wind

2. What was the most challenging aspect in putting your show together?

Well… we have a habit of eating instead of rehearsing… so putting down the fork and picking up the guitar is sometimes rather challenging for us!

3. Which instrument have you never got round to learning?

All of them!

4. Any country, any decade – when and where would you go?

Paris 1920… I’ll be sipping champagne in a booth in the corner of the Moulin Rouge!

5. What’s your favourite Internet-related guilty indulgence?

petrescue.com.au – that’s where i found my puppy and I’m looking for number 2 fur baby!

6. What makes cabaret so fun for you?

Story-telling meets music = the best!!!

7. As a child, which film did you re-watch too many times?

Wizard of Oz, Batman Forever, Titantic, and as an adult Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and How Much Do You Love Me?

8. Who’s the biggest celebrity you’ve ever been ignored by?

Not Prince!

9. Never mind corsets, what other type of underwear deserves to become outerwear?

Bras worn as ear muffs.

10. Whose show are you most excited to catch at this year’s Festival?
