If you’ve ever wondered what a little light, bath-time acrobatics and opera would be like, then this is just the show for you.
Except that you’ve probably never thought that, so let’s just say this show is for you. This is a show for everyone!
Soap is an eclectic array of circus tricks, gymnastics and a lot of fun. What the performers can do is downright astounding and will challenge everything you believe about what the human body is capable of. Add lots of water to that (because let’s face it, swinging at the top of a theatre is too easy without water in your eyes) and you have yourself a mind-blowing experience, without the sex!
The main character is the most loveable. Loveable in the same way that Mr. Bean is, but better. Each of the performers has their own ‘little’ talent and are quite charismatic. This show is nothing short of remarkable and is a showcase of some of the best talent that the Adelaide Fringe has to offer, evident in the line that looped around the venue.
And seriously, don’t try these things at home. It’s less sexy when you slip on your bathtub and lose your front teeth.
Pro-tip: If you’re sitting anywhere near the nose-bleed section then take a pair of goggles with you.
This show deserves all the hype, and then some. – Ed
