10 Quick Qs – #FirstWorldWhiteGirls
1. What, where, when and how much?
#FirstWorldWhiteGirls – a comedy cabaret about the trauma of being a white girl. It’s on at La Boheme, Wed 4 – Sun 8 March. $26 Adult, $22 concession.
2. Describe your show Twitter style, 140 characters or less:
Two spoiled white girls beckon you into their pampered den of entitlement to share your first world problems #slowwifi #badcoffee #lyfesohard
3. A quote/moment that stands out from your show?
We do a bit on first world survival skills where I teach the audience how to download torrents. If you don’t know how, you should come just for that. If you’re relying on free to air television, you’re basically living in the third world.
4. Is heckling allowed?
Only if it’s funny. And if you start it with ‘Imma let you finish’, Kanye-style.
5. What is your role in the show?
Producer, writer and performer.
6. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Emma Watson. She is a total babe, plus she is rich as. She could totally retire now if she wanted. #perksofbeingachildstar
7. If you could put on (or be in) any show/band in the world, which one would it be?
I would eat a busload of bratwurst to be in Die Roten Punkte. Those kids are crazy talented and funny. And I do a great(/terrible) German accent. And I know the words to 99 Luftballoons. That means I’m qualified, right?
8. Why would someone not come see your show?
Because they have that illness where your bones are like glass – like Samuel L. Jackson in ‘Unbreakable’. I mean, it’s an amazing show and I want you to see it, but I don’t want you to fracture a hip or something on the way to the theatre.
9. In your opinion, what is the worst show/movie you’ve ever seen and why?
Come to think of it, ‘Unbreakable’ was a terrible movie. Anything that has Samuel L Jackson in it and still manages to be bad must be truly, hideously awful.
10. Besides your show, what’s your pick for the Fringe/Garden?
Babushka’s ‘Dead’ at Gluttony (Feb 24-1 Mar) a dark but very funny frolic through the afterlife. Think Nick Cave, murder ballads and bitchy eulogies.
