FUN for math geeks and sports jocks alike.
Comedian and former Australian mathematics Olympian Simon Pampena presents an enjoyable hour show from Le Cascadeur Tent, in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Here he tries to prove how Australians are number one in sports using the sheer power of maths. Pampena’s charismatic personality allows him to interact well with the audience as he tries to bring maths to the people, whilst offering other amusing social comments and anecdotes.
Using a variety of performance mediums in his highly energetic show, Simon tries to show his love for all things mathematical, and keeps the entertainment going using iconic musical hits such as Baby Got Maths.
Although it’s aimed at a younger audience it is still enjoyable for all ages. The math isn’t exactly informative, you probably won’t learn how to solve any new math equations, but you will learn exactly where Australia ranks in the International Mathematics Olympics, and learn how best to cheer on your Australian math sportsmen. At the end of the day it’s a show aimed at kids.
If you love the Big Bang Theory try to catch a Simon Pampena performance next time he’s around!
