The Fringe isn’t just for adults. This year there are over 50 children’s events on offer, providing parents with a range of choices for their little treasures. Captain Fun Pants and the Mystery of the FunOmatic Fun Wand is a raucous ride that will delight children and parents alike. Our fearless leaders Captain Fun Pants and Pirate No Beard tackle worthy opponents and less than ideal terrains to get back their beloved FunOmatic Fun Wand, discovering on their travels that the fun was inside them all along.
Comedians Harley Breen and Heath Franklin diverge from their usual stand up scene to deliver a high energy and highly entertaining performance. They have great onstage chemistry and really seem to know what makes kids laugh. At first glance you wouldn’t really think too deeply about the messages hidden within, but when you take a deeper look at Captain Fun Pants and his best mate’s journey you realise there are some beautiful truths there; about friendship, perseverance and never losing the child within.
Captain Fun Pants is a great show to take your children to; it’s fun, engaging and comes with a free pirate hat on arrival. All this for $18 is already a king’s ransom but throw in some perfectly delivered dry humour for the parents and it’s a deal you can’t pass up.
