A shadow puppetry performance seems like a perfect fit for the writings of Poe, Dickens and Lovecraft. They are the masters of the macabre and menacing, so silhouettes are an ideal way to guide you through their stories, without restricting the monsters of your own imagination.
The show put on by The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets is certainly nothing ground-breaking, nor is it a high tech production, but it is worth the ticket price nonetheless.
While he looks like he makes it all up as he goes along, the special effects in the show clearly show the amount of hard work that goes into a production like this.
His extremely charming storytelling style brings out your inner kid who hangs on to every word and is dazzled by every trick.
Before I die, I want to project shadow puppets onto the moon, so that you can see them from the Earth. If there is a production out there planning to do work on the moon, I’d like them to call me.
